Dog Sled Rides & Upcoming Events
The Door County Sled Dogs provide weekly dog sled rides at Milwaukee’s Whitnall Park – a premier winter wonderland. These take place on Saturday and Sunday 11am to 1pm, January through March weather permitting. All rides are on a first-come first-served basis and are for all ages. The entire experience includes visiting with the dogs, question and answer time with the mushers, picture-taking time and an actual dog sled ride around the trail. The trail is the size of a football field and not so fast that it's over too quickly. Well, it's always over too quickly, you'll want it to last forever--it's that much fun! (Longer rides are available in December in Door County, $135. per person, 2 person minimum).
Feel what it’s like to ride on an authentic freight sled, see the dogs pulling from behind, and know that this is the real thing!
Rides are only $15 and take place at the Whitnall Park golf course warming house (5879 S. 92nd St. Franklin, Wisc.).
Also, remember that all group and special event rides take place on the beautiful Milwaukee Lakefront (Jan. thru Feb. only so book early). See you on the trail!

In addition to our Whitnall park rides we offer special longer rides where you can be a part of the training experience in Door County in November and December. These rides are weather permitting, and by appointment only.

27th - SOUTH MILWAUKEE - 11am - 2pm OAK CREEK LIONS CLUB SPONSORS THE TEAM FOR THEIR FUN-FILLED SOUTH MILW. HERITAGE DAYS PARADE AND "MEET N' GREET" the whole team afterwards at this super-fun-filled FESTIVAL!
28th - SHEBOYGAN - 1am-2:30 LAKESHORE WEEKEND FESTIVAL - A TOTAL WEEKEND FUNDRAISER FOR CHILDRENS HOSPITAL! THE DOGS WILL BE OUT AND ABOUT TO VISIT AND CUDDLE AT THE CHILDREN'S AREA! SPONSORED BY MIESFELDS MEATS.
THE DOOR COUNTY SLED DOGS ARE A RECREATIONAL TEAM, WE RUN FOR FUN AND RESCUES. WE ONLY RACE TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITIES, INCLUDING ADOPT A HUSKY, AND MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION.
