Meet the Dogs

Bob

We’re so pleased to welcome Beautiful Too as our newest puppy. She is a Husky/Border Collie cross and is as smart as a whip!  She’s spent 4 months in foster care just looking for an energetic home. Looks like she found it! We have high hopes for her as one of our newest lead dogs and we can’t wait for you to meet her! It really is all about Bob!  He is a young and enthusiastic lead dog.  He is super smart and takes his job so seriously that he leads the others through “brain or brawn” – whatever it takes! Boo Boo is often called “entertainer of the year!”  He is a 100 lb. licensed therapy dog.  While working with people, his nickname is the “gentle giant” but on the sled, we call him “The Beast!”

Buddy

CoolDog

Hooch

Buddy is a 71/2 year old Alaskan Husky and as a lead dog, he teaches the younger dogs how to lead.  We call him “the Professor.” Cool Dog comes from Ohio as an only dog in a pet home and when his owner had to surrender him, he  was brought to us. He’s never got over his good fortune and always wants to be the first to go. Hooch is an experienced show dog, spending a new life as the most steady and committed sled dog imaginable.  We call him our “sweet sweet boy!”  For others like Hooch, see our “Adoptable Dogs” page.
ImmyLou JellieMae LB
ImmyLou comes to us from a backyard in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She was brought to us on Labor Day and it’s been friends. freedom, and new experiences ever since!  She always has kisses and hugs to share so watch out! Jellie-Mae is a Seppala Siberian Husky. It’s not unusual for her to jump 6 ft. into the air to show us how badly she wants to go mushing!  We call her the ballerina but she’s convinced she’s the strongest, fastest dog of all!” L.B. (Little Boy) is the perfect dog and although he is a genuine “mushing machine,” he also likes to jump in the sled and go for a ride!  His nickname is “Bunnifur” because his fur is as soft as a bunny.

Mushka is our littlest and youngest lead dog.  Sometimes she still has butterflies on the brain but we don’t mind, she’s such a hard little worker!  All she ever says is “Wooo –  Wooo – I wanna’ be a sled dog, I wanna’ be a sled dog..”  She doesn’t seem to know it but she’s such a little natural that she’s been a great sled dog since day one! Dustin is one very special guy!  He is sensitive and oh so gentle.  He is a high-powered lead dog from Minnesota who is quickly becoming attached to his own indoor blankets and bed. Won’t he be soo excited to meet you, his new good friends?! George is our most recent arrival and has survived through two different shelters to get to us!  At 1 and a half yrs. old,, he’s super playful, smart, energetic, and we think, will be a natural leader. He certainly has the desire and spirit! He’s just waiting to enjoy his new life with you in it – come visit him soon!
